In line with the College's Vision, Research and Extension offers sustainable research programs, tangible projects and activities that will develop the institution, health, and socio-economic condition of the people.

Mission

The BCC Research and Extension Service Office provide cost effective research outputs that educate recipients with vital information about sustainable production and resource management for greater quality of life.

Goals

The goal of RES is to guide the BCC academic community to become research oriented and extend to the community advanced innovations that will alleviate poverty and protect the environment. Poverty elimination is the primary focus of the program.

  • Enable the students and faculty to provide inputs to the beneficiaries for methods and various aspects of their livelihood;
  • Provide the beneficiaries opportunities to more productive and livelihood;
  • Promote a climate of collaboration with beneficiary community;
  • To disseminate, incubate and commercialize established and relevant technologies developed;
  • Protect, manage and commercialize generated intellectual properties;
  • Publish R and E outputs in refereed/indexed journals;
  • Conduct appropriate and timely trainings and outreach programs in the communities;
  • Expand and strengthen local and international linkages/partnerships;
  • Foster career development and improve the capacities of R and E teachers and students;
  • Upgrade Research and Extension facilities;
  • Improve the governance of RDE by the modification of R and E policies;
  • Raise income from research outputs and extension activities to improve RDE funding.
